DC Scottish Rite’s Sesquicentennial

This year of 2020 marks the 150th Anniversary of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in Washington, D.C.

Our DC Scottish Rite’s Sesquicentennial is a joyous moment for celebration, recalling our Rite’s past achievements in our Nation’s Capital, but also a precious moment for the repositioning of our Rite to meet its future goals in an age of information and accelerations.

The long and rich history of the DC Scottish Rite is present everywhere – it’s in our temple with her many artifacts, it’s in our ceremonies and numerous programs, and even more importantly it’s in each of our members, young and old, near and far, current and deceased. DC Scottish Rite history is present all around us, not only as an homage to the past, but as a celebration of its continuum into the future – a reminder of its origins, its cardinal principles and its distinction.
