David B. Akopian, 32° KCCHBrother David Akopian was born in Yerevan, Armenia in 1951 and studied at the State University High School for the gifted in Physics and Math. In 1973 he received his Master's Degree in Architecture and Engineering at the State University. In 1985 he was appointed head of the Department of Architecture & Engineering at the State Leading Municipal Design Institue. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1991 and formed Akopian Associates working in urban planning.

Brother Akopian joined Hayastan Lodge No. 94 in 1999, and served as its Worshipful Master in 2006. He was active in formation of The Grand Lodge of Armenia and currently serves as it Grand Secretary. He joined the Scottish Rite Valley of Washington in 2000, and was invested with the Knight Commander Court of Honour in 2005.
